About Us
The seed of this vision was first planted in a dream - a dream seen by Rachita Gudhekar's mother Mrs. Ujwala Gudhekar, who longed to see the divine descend upon the stage, to watch the gods come alive through movement, rhythm and devotion. What began as her mother's dream became Rachita's lifelong purpose - to make the divine vision a reality.
Ashtabhuja Nrutyalaya was born from a vision 'To let the rhythms of classical dance retell the forgetten tales of Indian Mythology'
Guided by that sacred inspiration Rachita founded Ashtabhuja Nrutyalaya as a space where mythology breathes again, where the stories of gods and goddesses find rhythm in steps of Kathak, grace in the lines of Bharatanatyam and spirit in the colors of Folk dances.
Today, Ashtabhuja Nrutyalaya continues to celebrate that dream, transforming mythology into motion and prayer into performances. Here, every dancer becomes a storyteller. Every rhythm becomes remembrance. And every step carries forward a mother's dream brought to life through daughter's art.
